Mash Bill

Build your distillery, age your barrels, and craft a legacy.

Mash Bill is an idle tycoon game for iPhone in which you run your own bourbon distillery. Choose mash bills, distill new-make spirit, fill barrels, and rick them in your rickhouses. Barrels age on the real-world clock — whether the app is open or not — until you sample, blend, bottle, and sell your releases.

A craft of patience. No ads, no in-app purchases, no account — and it plays completely offline.

Features

From Grain to Glass

Run every stage of a working stillhouse. Queue a batch and the cooker, fermenter, and still work automatically while there’s grain and space.

  • Three mash bills to start — Traditional, High-Rye, and Wheated — plus custom recipes of your own
  • Multiple stills, fermenters, and tanks as your distillery grows
  • Column, doubler, and pot still conversions that change your output proof
  • Buy grain from the farmers’ co-op, or set up grain contracts to reorder automatically

Aging Is the Game

Barrels keep aging on the real-world clock, even while you’re away. Waiting is the craft.

  • Choose each barrel’s char level, entry proof, and floor
  • Bottom floors lose less to the angel’s share; top floors pick up oak flavor faster
  • Wood-clad, masonry, and climate-controlled rickhouses change how each floor behaves
  • Free sampling reveals flavor, quality, and traits — every barrel has a peak, and waiting too long can cost you
  • Rotate barrels between floors, and finish them in stout, port, sherry, or toasted oak casks

Blend, Bottle, and Label

Select a single barrel or blend several, set your bottling proof, and name your release.

  • The label review shows exactly which classes your blend qualifies for — Straight Bourbon, Bottled-in-Bond, Small Batch, Single Barrel, and Barrel Proof
  • Bottling makes whole 750 ml bottles and records each release’s age statement and provenance
  • Name your distillery and see it on every new label

Sell and Build a Reputation

  • Fill orders on the Market board for cash and reputation
  • Stock distributor shelves that keep selling while you’re away
  • Enter the Limestone Awards and compete for medals
  • Sell new-make spirit, aged barrels, or surplus grain when you need cash fast

Grow Your Distillery

  • Add cookers, fermenters, stills, and staff, with construction that finishes even while you’re offline
  • Buy new rickhouses, add floors, and upgrade to masonry or climate control
  • Automate warehouse work and grain purchasing
  • When your generation has earned enough reputation, Pass It Down — start a new generation with Legacy bonuses, your name, recipes, and medals, and one barrel saved in the Founder’s Cellar

Check In Whenever You Like

  • The distillery keeps working while the app is closed
  • A return summary shows what changed while you were away
  • Optional local reminders for barrel milestones, orders, judging, and production stalls
  • A searchable, built-in player guide covers everything from your first release to Legacy

Your Distillery, Kept Safe

  • Progress saves automatically, with three rotating backups on your iPhone
  • Export a save to Files and import it on another device, with a pre-import backup in case you change your mind

Private by Design

Mash Bill has no account, no server, and no network code. There is nothing for us to collect, because nothing is sent anywhere.

  • Fully offline from the first launch — even offline progress is calculated on your device
  • No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no third-party SDKs
  • No in-app purchases, subscriptions, or tip jar
  • Your distillery and settings stay on your iPhone

Requirements

  • iPhone running iOS 17 or later
  • Designed for portrait play on every iPhone screen size, down to the iPhone SE (2nd generation)

Mash Bill is made for adults. Every distillery, brand, buyer, and label in the game is fictional. The game is about making whiskey, not drinking it, and does not depict or encourage drinking.
