ScanToPlan

Scan a room with your iPhone. Get an accurate floor plan.

Coming soon

ScanToPlan turns the LiDAR scanner in your iPhone or iPad into a floor plan instrument. Walk slowly around a room with the camera pointed at the walls, tap done, and you get a scaled 2D floor plan with walls, doors, and windows — ready to adjust and export as a PDF, image, or CAD file.

No tape measure, no graph paper, no surveyor. Everything happens on your device, offline.

Features

Scan a Room in Minutes

Point your device at the walls and walk the perimeter. On-screen guidance tells you when to slow down, move closer, or add light, and ScanToPlan builds the room’s geometry as you go.

  • Uses the LiDAR scanner and Apple’s RoomPlan framework for real measurements, not estimates
  • Live guidance while you scan — coverage hints, a scan timer, and warnings if the device gets warm or storage runs low
  • Automatic detection of walls, doors, windows, and passageways
  • A whole room typically takes a minute or two

A Real Floor Plan, Not a Sketch

When the scan finishes, ScanToPlan processes it on-device and generates a clean, scaled plan with dimensions on every wall and the room’s area calculated for you.

  • Scaled 2D plan with wall dimensions and room area
  • Switch between the 2D plan and a 3D walled view
  • Imperial (ft, in) or metric (m, cm) units
  • Scale bar and compass rose rendered into exported plans

Fix Anything That’s Off

Scans of real rooms sometimes need a nudge. The editor lets you correct the plan by hand.

  • Drag wall endpoints or whole walls to correct the shape
  • Split a wall at its midpoint, or delete a wall entirely
  • Convert an opening between a door, window, and passageway, or flip a door’s swing
  • Type an exact dimension for any wall when you have a known measurement
  • Rename rooms, with undo and redo throughout

Export for Anything

Share a plan with a client, a contractor, or your own CAD software.

  • PDF — US Letter page with the plan, a room area table, and a generation date
  • PNG / JPEG — 300 DPI raster images for documents, listings, and email
  • DXF — CAD-compatible drawing with layered geometry for AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design tools
  • Shared through the standard iOS share sheet, so exports go straight to Files, Mail, Messages, or AirDrop

Organized by Project

Group the rooms of a property together and keep your work tidy.

  • One project per property, with a floor plan per room
  • Search, sort by name or date, and switch between grid and list views
  • Rename or delete projects at any time
  • Manage Storage reclaims space by clearing raw scan data while keeping your finished plans

Private by Design

ScanToPlan has no account, no server, and no network code at all. There is nothing for us to collect, because nothing is sent anywhere.

  • Zero network requests — the app works in airplane mode
  • No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no third-party SDKs
  • Camera used live for scanning only; no photos or video are recorded
  • No location data, ever — nothing in your plans or exports identifies where they were made
  • Your scans leave your device only when you export or share them yourself

ScanToPlan needs the LiDAR scanner to do what it does.

  • iPhone 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 Pro, 15 Pro, 16 Pro or later
