Features
Choose Your Party
Pick a leader and four companions, and give them names. Every traveler brings a skill to the trail.
- Leader backgrounds: a Carpenter who repairs the wagon faster, a Trader who starts with extra cash, or a Guide who reads rivers and weather better
- Companions: carpenters, scouts, caregivers, and foragers, each improving a different part of the journey
- If your leader is lost, a survivor steps up and the expedition carries on
Plan Every Day
Set your travel pace and daily rations, check the weather and the water ahead, then choose to travel or make camp. Nothing advances while you read or plan.
- Five regions — Grassland Reach, Redwater Basin, High Prairie, Stonepass Mountains, and Haven Valley — each with its own terrain and weather
- A route choice in every region: the main path, or a longer bypass with different hazards
- Forecasts for health, morale, wagon, and oxen before you commit to a day
- Every cost and risk shown up front, with no unannounced instant deaths
Make Camp
A camp day gives each traveler a task. Assign them, preview the results, then spend the day.
- Rest to recover health and fatigue
- Forage or hunt for food, or gather timber in wooded country
- Repair the wagon with a spare part or timber
- Treat an illness with medicine
- Scout the route ahead and sharpen your river-crossing estimates
Cross Rivers
Each crossing shows the depth, the current, the weather, and an honest risk estimate for every option — pay for a ferry, float the wagon, ford the shallows, or wait a day and scout for a better read. The outcome is decided only when you commit.
Trade at Settlements
Visit the outfitter at each named settlement to buy and sell provisions, medicine, wagon parts, ammunition, water, timber, and oxen. Add recommended essentials builds a cart for the leg ahead, but you always choose what to buy. Trading never costs a day.
Keep Your Story
The field journal records every day, choice, and outcome. The route map tracks your progress and the springs along the trail. When the expedition ends, the epilogue tells the story of the journey you led — who arrived, the routes you took, and the choices you made along the way.
