ScanToPlan for iPhone & iPad
LiDAR floor plan scanner for iOS and iPadOS
ScanToPlan turns the LiDAR scanner in your iPhone or iPad into a floor plan instrument. Walk slowly around a room with the camera pointed at the walls, tap done, and you get a scaled 2D floor plan with walls, doors, and windows — ready to export as a PDF, image, or CAD file.
How to scan a room on iPhone with ScanToPlan
Create a project for the property, tap Start Scanning, and walk the perimeter of the room with the device held upright and the camera pointed at the walls. On-screen guidance tells you when to slow down, move closer, or add light. Tap the checkmark when you’ve covered every wall and corner, and ScanToPlan generates the floor plan on your device in seconds.
Built for iPhone and iPad
- LiDAR-powered measurement — uses the hardware depth sensor and Apple’s RoomPlan framework for real measurements, not estimates
- Live scan guidance — coverage hints, a scan timer, and warnings when the device gets warm or storage runs low
- Automatic detection — walls, doors, windows, and passageways identified as you scan
- 2D and 3D views — check the scan against the real room from either angle
- iPad split-view layout — projects alongside plans on a bigger screen
- Share sheet export — send a plan to Files, Mail, Messages, or AirDrop like any other iOS file
Export for CAD and clients
- PDF — US Letter page with the plan, a room area table, and a generation date
- PNG / JPEG — 300 DPI raster images for documents, listings, and email
- DXF — CAD-compatible layered geometry for AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design tools
Completely offline
ScanToPlan makes zero network requests. No account, no login, no server, no cloud processing. Scanning, plan generation, and export all happen on your device — it works in airplane mode, in a basement, or on a job site with no signal. There are no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs of any kind.
Device requirements
ScanToPlan needs a LiDAR scanner to measure a room:
- iPhone 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 Pro, 15 Pro, 16 Pro or later
- iPad Pro (2020 or later)
- iOS or iPadOS 17 or later
On a device without LiDAR, ScanToPlan will tell you on launch — the sensor is what makes the measurements accurate, so there is no software substitute.
